Motivational Monday: Martha Empowers Podcast releases episode 3 “ Cómo Aplicar a Becas”- how to apply to scholarships with my guest speaker Ms. Estefanía Pérez-Luna.
This is the first Spanish episode to make my podcast accessible to the Spanish speaking community and provides advice for undocumented immigrant college students.
Estefanía Pérez-Luna attended Joliet Junior College in Joliet and later completed her Bachelor’s degree at Benedictine University. After graduating in 2016, she participated in an AmeriCorps program in Chicago called Public Allies, a social justice-oriented apprenticeship. As a first-generation Latina, she is interested in the advocacy and mentorship of undocumented students and underrepresented minorities in medicine.
